Bruno Marx

Bruno is owner of the consultancy company Eventknowhow which he has recently relocated to the UAE. Bruno specializes in helping architects design profitable meeting spaces and helping owners and operators of event venues save money and optimize their operations. He also loves creating special event solutions for venues such as airports, museums and other uncommon locations.

For more than 30 years Bruno has been instrumental to shaping the German event industry, not only by creating the technical think tank for the SevenCenters of Germany (the seven biggest convention centers in Germany) but also by helping to create the official formal training curriculum for event technicians and creating the German DIN standards on designing convention centersand event technology which are recognized worldwide.

Bruno‘s last station before going freelance was as technical director for the largest event location in Germany,DüsseldorfCongress. His knowhow was instrumental in staging events as big as theEurovision Song Contest 2011. For more than 6 years, as Vice president of APWPT, he represents the interests of the European Association of Event Centres (EVVC) in Brussels in regulatory and normative matters.

He has a bachelors degree in „Event Technology Management and Operations“ and speaks regularly at conferences like „eventplaza“, MPI and the Middle East Event Show. Bruno also conducts seminars for personnel in conference centers on many different topics including selling event technology.
