Michael D Bruno

I have enjoyed a lifelong interest in sport having played baseball, wrestling, and softball and served as a volunteer coach in a variety of other athletic activities. While working at Children’s Hospital, I enrolled in the Xavier University Master’s of Sports Management program after having spent over 20 years in research science. While at Xavier, I completed an internship with the City of Cincinnati Recreation Commission and helped with scheduling athletic events as well as looked for ways to cut costs and simplify the scheduling system. After graduating from Xavier University I worked at the M.E. Lyons YMCA as Assistant to Sports Program Director. My primary responsibility included supervising student workers to help in setup and officiating during youth sporting events. I also assisted the Sports program Director in marketing, registering and scheduling these events.

After having spent more than two decades in research science, I am looking to pursue a second career in recreational, collegiate, or professional sports.
