Bryan Pearson

Pittsburgh, PA

Small town guy living in a city.

Grew up in a town with a population of 1500 - the type of place where everybody knew your name. The pace of life there is that of the ederly on bicycles, a retirment home village, or the perfect place to raise a family. Not for an kid that wanted to create the next big 'thing', so I left 'town' for a fresh start in a place that was just far enough away to be removed from the social drama, but just close enough to have something to fall back on.

A creative personality with a diverse skill set.

Jurassic Park changed my life during the summer of 1993 - when I saw the dinosaurs for the first time, I knew that 3D animation is what I wanted for as a career. Got my first taste of Photoshop in '96 and have been using it ever since. Moved on and studied Computer Animation at the Art Instiutes, returned for a degree in Media Arts and Animation (1998-2006: took some time off to replenish the bank account). Branched out and self taught video editing/motion graphics. Interned at The Entertainment Technology Center for 2 years - wore many hats while there (producer, data asset manager, lead modeler, and character designer), released one arcade game, and assisted in the interactive multi-screen display showcase. Currently expanding my skills to include clay sculpture (latex mask/prosthetic and character maquette).

Lead foot and full throttle.

Since living here I've

  • learned how to build computers
  • repair broken OSes
  • setup small networks
  • hacked wifi
  • starred as a zombie in a short film
  • flirted with becoming a DJ
  • traveled all over the United States
  • became a homebrewer

Above all else, I look forward to the next creative challenge and meeting the amazing people that come along for the ride.
