Bryan Karijanian
Bryan began playing guitar at the age of 14, performing in various groups throughout Western New York and studying with the most elite private music instructors in the region. In high school, he excelled in Advanced Placement Music Theory, and went on to attend the Guitar Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood CA. There he immersed himself into a diverse range of musical styles from Classical, Blues, Country to Rock and began to perform regularly in the Los Angeles music scene.
Bryan started truly defining his sound with a New York based modern rock band calledVelour. During his time withVelour they released 3 albums, received regular radio play on local FM rock stations, and hit #1 on regional record sales charts. This success provided the opportunity to tour as a supporting act for such national bands as: The Goo Goo Dolls, Beck, Ours, and Everclear.
After adapting to a wide array of musical genres though the years, recording with renown producers, and playing hundreds of live performances, Bryan still keeps musically active by performing currently with The Scotty Mac Band.
Bryan currently resides in Huntington Beach, CA. He spends his free time surfing and works as a Guitar Instructor at The Music Factory, where he truly enjoys passing on his 25 years of experience and knowledge to eager upstarts.
"I love sharing the gift of music...and there is nothing more rewarding than to watch my students grow as musicians." - Bryan
