Engineer in Galveston, Texas
If I were telling you about myself, I’d probably start with where I come from, because Galveston shaped a lot of who I am. Growing up on the Texas coast taught me to stay grounded, stay curious, and respect the things we build—whether it’s a relationship, a project, or a life. I’ve spent my entire career as an engineer, and I still enjoy the work as much today as I did when I first started. I’ve always been someone who likes to understand how things work, and engineering gave me a way to turn that curiosity into something useful for my community.
I’m known for being detail-oriented and steady under pressure, but to me, that’s just part of doing the job the right way. I care about safety, I care about people, and I try to make sure the systems we create serve them well.
Outside of work, I’m happiest with a fishing rod in my hand, a good book nearby, or a plane ticket to somewhere I haven’t explored yet. I’m a big believer in learning—for work, for life, and just for the sake of understanding more about the world. I value meaningful conversations and good company, and I try to keep a sense of humor no matter what’s going on.
At this point in my life, I’m focused on staying curious, staying connected, and doing things that matter. If something lets me build, learn, or help someone, I’m interested.
