A native of Texas, Dr. Pruitt attended private schools graduating as valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA from both High School and his undergraduate university. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School where he graduated first in a class of 215 M.D.'s and received many other honors and awards. His advanced medical training continued at Parkland Hospital and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School for a 5 year residency. Dr. Pruitt then accepted a position in the Emory University Medical Center Plastic Surgery division for further specialized training in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
