Bryan Stromer works to end the often-dated misconceptions about people with disabilities. In October of 2011, he was selected to serve on the Citywide Council for Special Education by top education officials. He has appeared in The New York Daily News, on NY1, The Today Show and his writing has been featured in The New York Times, WNYC’s “SchoolBook”, and Gotham Schools. He is currently blogging about his college process for the New York Times Company. In addition, he is the leader of an anti-bullying campaign called Own It. Own It works to combat bullying by getting students to embrace their differences.
