Bryant Boren
A civil litigation attorney for more than 30 years, Bryant C. Boren serves as Partner-in-Charge of Baker Botts, LLP's office in Palo Alto, California. Over the course of his career, he has litigated a full range of civil cases. Currently, Bryant Boren divides his practice among the areas of intellectual property, business law, and patent and trademark applications. He maintains a particular focus on information technology matters.
With a working knowledge of several computer languages and many operating systems, Bryant Boren litigates electronics-related intellectual property disputes with an insider's expertise. He has argued a wide variety of related cases, including those involving third-party service provisioning, data processing outsourcing, and automated long-distance service. He has argued a number of cases dealing with such complex technologies as neurostimulation devices, microprocessor architectures, and jet fighter avionics software.
Bryant Boren is licensed to practice in both California and Texas. He has been admitted before the Western, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of Texas and the Northern, Central, and Eastern Districts of California. In addition, he has argued in the Fifth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals as well as the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Bryant C. Boren earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated with honors in 1980. He also attended the University of Texas in pursuit of his undergraduate degree in Government, which he received with highest honors. Since entering legal practice, B.C. Boren has received a number of honors including the Super Lawyer designation for Texas, which he has received on six distinct occasions. He also appears in the 2007 issue of The Best Lawyers in America, a leading peer-reviewed publication.
