Bryan Wasyluk

I recently graduated last May, 2013 with a Master of Sports Administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University located in Teaneck, New Jersey. As an aspiring sports professional, I am interested in connecting with people in the sports and facility management field.

I worked during the summer of 2012 as a Game Day Operations and Promotions Intern with the New Jersey Jackals of the Canadian-American (Can-Am) League of Professional Baseball, located in Little Falls, New Jersey. My responsibilities included game day promotions, sales, and providing customer service to fans during games.

I than worked during the 2012-13 National Hockey League season for the New York Islanders as a Community Relations Intern. My responsibilities included planning and hosting fundraising events for the Islanders Children’s Foundation, assisting with charitable in-kind donation requests, and participating in the Islanders grassroots marketing campaigns throughout Long Island.

During the summer of 2013, I worked as a Public Relations Intern with the Somerset Patriots of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball located in Bridgewater, New Jersey. My responsibilities included writing press releases, researching potential media contacts for stories on the team, taking pictures during games to use on the team’s official website, looking up weekly newspapers and contact information, and assisting with player requests and other responsibilities.

Recently, I worked as a Sixers Strong 50/50 Raffle Representative for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), a Game Operations Event Staff Member for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL), and a Ticket Operations Assistant for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB).

I am currently an Operations Supervisor at the SMG - David L. Lawrence Convention Center, a 1.5 million square foot public assembly facility located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My responsibilities include directing and overseeing all housekeeping and operations staff, reviewing inventory needs and house cleaning supplies for upcoming events, maintaining time and production records including allocating labor for events, and submitting maintenance requests for repairs, damages, and preventative maintenance.
