Bryan Wiseman

Australian actor Bryan Wiseman has been acting since childhood, securing his first professional role at the age of 8 in a commercial for Channel 7 Australia. Wiseman made his film debut playing the role of the Frog Owner in Fatty Finn, a movie about an enterprising young boy in the 1930s. From there, Bryan Wiseman began taking roles in a variety of television shows, including Willing and Abel, Rafferty’s Rules, Living with the Law, and BackBerner, earning recognition as one of Australia’s leading child actors. He also appeared in numerous commercials.

Bryan Wiseman gained a recurring role on Australia’s second-longest running soap opera, Home and Away, in 1998, playing Dr. John Wilson. Home and Away depicts the lives of the owners of Summer Bay Caravan Park and their foster children. A number of notable Australian actors have appeared on the soap opera, including Heath Ledger, Guy Pearce, and Naomi Watts. Bryan Wiseman fulfilled the role of Dr. Wilson on and off between 1998 and 2003, first playing the character in 1988. Simultaneously, Wiseman lent his voice to a variety of Australian stations, including a lengthy stint on the news talk station 2UE/Sydney with Stan Zemanek. He also appeared on Come Dine With Me Australia, a reality television show that features amateur chefs who each take a turn hosting a dinner party for the other chefs.

Bryan Wiseman will next be seen on Taboo, a documentary television series that will air on the National Geographic Channel in the United Kingdom. In addition to his acting career, Wiseman runs a foster home for abandoned and abused animals and belongs to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. He also maintains interest in property investment.
