Bryce Raffle(he/him)

is a multi-talented Canadian writer with a diverse background spanning film, video games, and publishing. As a professional writer, he has worked across multiple genres and mediums, crafting compelling narratives that engage audiences of all ages. His work as lead writer for Sins of a Dark Age and contributions to Sins of a Solar Empire II and Mech Armada have solidified his reputation in the video game industry, where his expertise in crafting compelling dialogue and interactive storytelling shines.

Beyond games, Bryce Raffle has co-written and published several children's picture books (The Littlest Dinosaur series), written comic books (Maggie X), and authored numerous short stories featured in anthologies such as Southern Steam: Tales of Port Reprieve, Hideous Progeny: Classic Horror Goes Punk, Den of Antiquity, Taught by Time: Myth Goes Punk, DeadSteam, DeadSteam II, and Selene Quarterly Magazine. His skills extend to editing as well—he was the editor for both DeadSteam and DeadSteam II, showcasing his keen eye for gothic horror and steampunk fiction.

In addition to his fiction work, Bryce has written articles for What's On Queer BC, Vancouver Pride Magazine, and Ripple of Change Magazine, using his voice to explore and highlight the importance of queer representation in literature for young people. A passionate creative writing educator, he teaches creative writing online at the Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society, where his Scrivener workshops are consistently in high demand. He has also led workshops on Writing Video Games, Writing Supernatural Detectives, and Writing Punk Genre Fiction.

An active member of CWILL BC (Children’s Writers & Illustrators), Bryce has spoken at literary conventions such as Creative Ink Festival and Word Vancouver, as well as visiting schools, libraries, and bookstores to inspire young readers and aspiring writers. His screenplay work has also received recognition, with Christmas Feast reaching the Quarter Finals in both the Emerging Screenwriters Screenplay Competition and the ScreenCraft Horror Competition.

Outside of writing, Bryce is a professional boom operator and sound designer. His creative talents extend to visual design as well—he is a skilled book cover designer, having crafted striking covers for numerous authors.
