Hi there, I’m Brynn. I’m a university student living in Guelph, Ontario. I completed my elementary and secondary education nearly 2 hours away from Guelph in my small hometown. Where I’m from is a Port right by Lake Eerie which I’ve lived near my whole life. The small town by the lake is very cute and fills a lot of my time in the summer. Visiting the beach happens very often, no matter what season. I am a fan of reading, music, and dogs. I have a part-time job in Guelph and live with my best friend (who’s also from my hometown) in an apartment here. We have no pets because we couldn’t afford them as students but I often wish we had a cuddle buddy around.

I'm currently studying general biology at the university but have a particular passion for both biomedical and environmental sciences. They’re definitely different areas of interest but I love certain components of both. Biomedical science interests me in that I enjoy learning everything there is to know about systems and functions. Environmental science interests me more as it encourages change which will always be relevant. Care of the earth is really important to my generations future and generations to come. I wouldn't say any one person has inspired me so much as any person contributing to the betterment of our society and environment. I would say my only true contributions to the environment so far in my life is separating garbage from recycling from compost. I appreciate Guelph for its compost bins!

To be honest, my career goals are pretty unknown to me because of my wide spectrum of interests. I'm not sure which field of biology I want to pursue in terms of career so stay tuned for an answer on career goals. I do know that I’m considering attending college once I finish my degree here to take advantage of co-op opportunities.

Something interesting that most people may not know about me is that I’m half Scottish. My dad was born and raised in Scotland until he reached his 20’s when he decided to move to Canada for job opportunities. I have never travelled to his home town but it’s definitely on my bucket list. He’s one of seven children so I have six aunts/uncles that I have never met and even more cousins. I wish I could somehow inherit the accent he still has, although enjoy making fun of his every chance I get. The rest of my family is on my mom’s side and I enjoying spending my time with them here in Canada.

There’s just a little bit about me. Thank you for reading!
