I’m really into fitness and staying active. It’s probably my favorite hobby. Whether it’s running, taking a class or just lifting weights, I love staying active and in shape. I completed the buffalo Half-Marathon in 2010 and that inspired me to do it every year since and I’m looking forward to the 2015 edition with excitement.
I’ve also looked into the marathons run at Walt Disney World. While I didn’t think I’d ever be a person who really enjoyed going to Disney World, I really grew to love making trips as my boyfriend and I travel to visit his parents on a fairly regular basis. While I’m not sure when I’ll run my first marathon in the Florida heat, I can bide my time in my favorite park (Epcot) and lounging by the pool while getting to make memories with so many people I’m close to.
I’ve channeled that love into instructing a number of classes as well. I’m a fitness instructor for a bunch of different classes that include Fusion, Kickboxing, TRX, Interval Training and many more.
I try to channel the motivation I use in those fitness classes to the work I do here. Working with students each day is about offering guidance and support but when I know I’m able to help motivate someone to make this big change in their life, it’s extra rewarding.
One thing I often tell my students is that there will be moments when you don't think you can do it, moments when you doubt your ability to succeed. This is normal, but don't let the doubts themselves defeat you. You CAN do it!
