I blog about children's books old and new from my perspective as a parent and as a creative person who loves art and literature. I love kids and books, as you may have guessed, but I also love animals, birds, Star Trek, trains, museums, Prokofiev, and a bunch of other things. I was a classical musician for 25 years before I got the idea for my first picture book. Since then I have created a crazy stash of ideas for books and articles and I'm trying to figure out what to do with all of them!
