Barbara Stcherbatcheff
After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University in 2004, Barbara Stcherbatcheff traveled to London and began working for some of London's top investment banks. Barbara Stcherbatcheff spent several years working as an investment banker in the City of London. Parlaying her background in the finance sector into a career as a professional writer, Barbara Stcherbatcheff served as a Features Writer for CNBC Europe. As a freelance journalist, Barbara Stcherbatcheff contributed articles to London’s free daily newspaper, The London Paper. Occupying the space on the newspaper formerly titled, “City Boy,” which detailed the exploits of a “bad boy broker,” Barbara Stcherbatcheff anonymously wrote the weekly column about the lives of professionals in London’s finance industry under the pen name “City Girl.” After five years of working in the Square Mile, Barbara Stcherbatcheff decided to leave the investment banking world in order to pursue her interest in writing. That same year, Virgin Books published Barbara Stcherbatcheff’s book, Confessions of a City Girl. Barbara Stcherbatcheff has contributed numerous articles to magazines and newspapers, including BBC and Vanity Fair.
