My professional life is focused on two areas, consulting and Asia. What gets me out of bed in the morning is my desire for self improvement through broadening my understanding of management disciplines, applying more structure to the way I think and improving my cross cultural skill set through language learning and exposure to foreign business practices.

My interest in consulting grew from an early intererst in personal productivity systems. In school I was always more fascinated by the way people worked rather than what they were actually accomplishing. My role models were those classmates that approached their work with the right mindsets, habits and rituals, rather than those classmates that performed best. Essentially those classmates that worked smart rather than worked hard. As my interest in productivity grew I found many of the productivity gurus out there had management consulting backgrounds, and I aspired to become more systems oriented and an expert in work flow as they were, which is why I entered consulting.

My interest in Asia came from an interest in Chinese language, which I studied in College and have continued to study after graduation. I have enjoyed working in Asia as there is always a learning curve making even mundane work an interesting challenge. With three years of experience working in China, combined with a foreign background I have created a cross cutlural skillset enables me to manage local teams to deliver value to leading foreign MNC and hedge fund clients.

At this point in my career, I am looking to further build my cross cultural skillset by learning about new geogrpahies and gain even more experience helping craft strategies for MNC's and investment funds looking to succeed in Asia.
