Started playing music (piano) when I was 2 years of age. Continue with piano still today. At the age of 5 I picked up my first pair of drumsticks. It took till i was 7 years old to finally see the music...I fell in love with the acoustic guitar. It's combination of percussive qualities with melodic infinities literally blinds me when I play it. It dawned on me that music is not read from a page, instead it is seen in colors and shapes. It's felt between the notes that are played and the breaths that you are forced to give up.

The more you understand the silence between the notes of a melody or rhythm, and it's purpose for articulation, the more valuable the notes that you play become. And, thus, the music that you are able to convey is more versatile. Even though tools are multi-purpose, the collection of musical devices fails to ever become cumbersome.
