Brett Thompson

Hello, my name is Brett Thompson. I was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised mostly in Northern New Jersey. I believe there is a process to this Mastery class so to be honest. I started at Full Sail University first obtaining my Graduate Certificate in EDMT (Education Design Media & Technology). I got this certificate hoping to further my career as Corporate Trainer. However, while earning my degree, I realized that corporate training was not my passion.

The Mastery book refers to the inner voices pointing you to a vocation as he calls it. Well all my inner voices, or what I like to call them is God’s echo to my soul. Well, my inner voices tell me everyday that I should be writing short stories, poetry, TV shows, and feature films. Once all you read this, you must think he must be A Creative Writing Master Degree Candidate right? Not so fast. I tried that Creative Writing Master here at Full Sail, but I learned something about myself that first class I took in that major. When I am forced to create a story, nothing comes out right,

Although I absolutely love to be cramming in some little room with bunch other writers churning out some of your favorite TV episodes, I am in the midst of all my writing. I found out my second passion is data. This is why my major is now Business Intelligence. I could enter every writing contest in the free world, but instead, I am getting advice on how to make my writing better. I would get all the statistics thrown at me saying we receive over 5000 scripts a day and we read maybe one.

In Short I started doing my own data research and discovered that my second passion is data fact checking and how use that to my advantage on how my script would be marketed to a studios. Those inner voices keep telling me to write everyday
