“Winning is a habit. Watch your thoughts, they become your beliefs. Watch your beliefs, they become your words. Watch your words, they become your actions. Watch your actions, they become your habits. Watch your habits, they become your character.” - Vince Lombardi

As a Division 1 athlete you become energized with winning on the field and in the classroom. Many student-athletes forget about the student part. But to excel in both is exceptional. You learn to be organized, manage your time well and evaluate what’s important to success. You stay to true to who you are through this experience by making the time for what’s important. Through my hobbies, my family, and my teammates this has become all possible. My family and my teammates have taught me so much. Every single day, on and off the he field we push each other to get the most out of ourselves. A little encouragement can go a long ways.

Studying accounting in the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University has been a rewarding experience. I have been challenged academically and have had the opportunity to better myself for life after college. It has helped me develop even better organizational and time management skills because I constantly have to balance school work and practice.

Being a member of the softball team at Fordham University, I have found that I have a passion for sports and for helping others. With this passion I joined the Student Athletic Advisory Council, where I have been involved fundraising for different charities that the teams have picked. I hope one day I can work for a sports organization that is truly about bettering sports and helping others in need in the process.
