Hannah Rachel Potter

Hannah started her writing career with her personal blog, The Thought Bubble, back in 2009. Since then, the blog - and Hannah herself - have blossomed. On this journey, Hannah discovered a love for photography which has matched her passion for writing.

A self-taught natural light photographer, Hannah is in the process of setting up her business and becoming fully self-employed. This is a huge step outside of her comfort zone! Hannah will be available as a natural light portrait, wedding and fine-art photographer. Hannah also makes time to focus on her writing and editing skills, both on her own website and in her work as a freelance writer.

As the single-parent of a child with high-functioning autism – and as an adult with the same condition – Hannah has extensive experience to draw on as far as special educational needs are concerned. Over the last two years, Hannah has had to become a self-appointed autism advocate: Writing, making valuable contacts – and learning to appreciate the little victories! Hannah now writes for the online women's magazine, Brew Drinking Thinkings, as their resident Autism & SEN Parenting Writer. Before becoming her son’s full-time carer, Hannah was studying for her nursing degree. She made it to her final year before her son’s needs became evident. He is now known to have various physical disabilities, as well as the autism, and needs much input to fulfill his potential.

Away from the SEN arena and her personal websites, Hannah is a recently published writer in an anthology: Tiny Acorns, published by Dotterel Press.
