Hello, I’m Debby.

Bubbles was written for the children in the waiting room of my husband's veterinary hospital. I wanted them to understand that the veterinarian would take good care of their pets. And I want Bubbles to show children how important it is to be careful when they play outside and cross the street.

I started writing Bubbles in the late 1980s. My daughter Barbara encouraged me to publish the book and her daughter Sarah volunteered to illustrate it for her high school senior project in 2017.

I love writing, dancing, children, and all sports. I was a first grade teacher and loved reading books to my students. My husband Dr. Bob Hoge was awarded Veterinarian of the Year for the whole country. This prestigious award was given by the American Animal Hospital Association in 1991.
