Budziaga is a 2020’s alias of an extravagant Russian multi-talented electro-indie-pop composer, songwriter, singer, performer and a violin player Oksana Budza. She is also a member of MARICHI pop duo. Taking a cue from 60’s-90’s classic songwriting, Budziaga converts that heritage to bona fide modern pop blockbusters.

October 2020 saw her first drop «Jump In My Game», an avant-garde electronic debut single with classic acid house flavor and apocalyptic lyrics. Nevertheless, she started performing as a dancer and a choir singer at 6, but making music & doing well as a songwriter since 21. The English ‘Fact Magazine’ interviewed Budziaga in 2007 and presented her to the European readers as a bright phenomenon of the Russian underground scene. At twenty years old, she joined the pop band Yogo-Yogo and toured as the back singer for some time before forging her own path. Her the very first released collaborative song was «More Amore» (2016) - a dance ballad with flourishing ear candy tropical house rhythms, featured MARICHI’s Pavel Drumov. Then the pop dance song «I Feel Alright» blowed up - the second collaboration followed in 2019.

Budziaga’s sound has strongly marked dark cinematographic color and atmosphere, but always is groove-drenched because of her obsessed love to polyrhythmic African music. Her vocals are rich of exotic timbre, her harmonies are abundant. Meanwhile, the main concept of Budziaga music is the natural simplicity, blending catchy hooks and bouncy beats with a playful and confident attitude, bolstered by her flamboyant, freaky wardrobe. Main genres are: pop, house, funk, hip-hop, electronic, downtempo, soundtrack & trailer. Budziaga also participates as a producer in some Ethnic techno projects.

Her latest studio works in 2020 foreshadow her debut album due out soon. These will be dance songs and soul-searching ballads for those who wants to feel like a kid again. Dive deep into the music, full of colours, complementary instruments and marvelous mixtures of genres, seasoned with a good sense of humor.
