Currently, Burt Lo is the Director of Digital Curriculum & Instructional Technology for the Stanislaus County Office of Education. He enjoys working with the Educational Options Division's teachers as they integrate the use of G Suite for Education, Chromebooks, and blended learning by integrating Florida Virtual School curriculum and the Buzz Learning Management System into their instruction.
He began his educational career teaching English as a Second Language in Taiwan. Using these experiences, he became a middle school teacher at Salida Middle School. Then, he blended his interest in technology with education to work in instructional technology professional development for several county offices of education.
Burt continued his education, to support this career path, with an online Master's Degree. As well, his instructional techology skills have benefited from attending and presenting at CUE and ISTE Conferences. In addition, he feels privileged to have been selected to attend the inaugural Google Teacher Academy and continues to benefit from the expertise of Google Certified Innovators.
In his spare time, Burt's interest in technology expresses itself in his hobbies as well. He enjoys geocaching and Pokemon Go.
