Tracy Burton

I have more than a decade of experience in journalism and communications. My background includes work in public relations, social media, writing, videography, media relations, photography and graphic design.

My public relations experience includes higher education, non-profit and local government. I covered the police beat for the Lansing State Journal for several years, and currently write for the Midland Daily News. I serve on the Education Committee of the Society of Professional Journalists and remain active with the Public Relations Society of America.

My teaching experience encompasses both online and in the classroom. Courses include: Public Relations Principles and Practices, Writing for the Mass Media, Public Affairs Reporting, Public Relations Writing, and Social Media Practicum, Portfolio and Plan.
