Busaosowo Bisong is a legal practitioner,drug use prevention specialist, mental health advocate and learning/development manager with seven years experience in mobilizing communities,schools and families to take action to prevent drug use among its young people.

Through his work, Busaosowo is leading the campaign for the integration of drug prevention education into the conventional post-primary school education curriculum. With support from the Global Youth Mobilization Fund/WHO, Busaosowo in 2022 led the research,design and publication of Nigeria's first local content guide on drug prevention that has paved the way for schools across Nigeria to implement school-based programs for drug prevention education.

Busaosowo also works to empower young people in Africa with the knowledge, skills and collaboration they need to improve their communities in order to achieve the SDGs. Through his learning platform- Africa Development Series, he has trained over 500 young changemakers across 13 African countries and has helped raised over $22k in funding for these changemakers. In recognition of his efforts in empowering young people in Africa towards achieving the SDGs, Busaosowo was named The African Change Maker of the Year in 2023 by Hexa Media.

He is a fellow of the United States Carrington Youth Fellowship,member of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust Network, World Merit Star and a 2024 Na’amal Global Mentor.
