With more than 20 years experience as an accomplished artist and color designer, Teresa Tullio combined her entrepreneurial skills with her passion for color to create a highly successful concept retail store, and full-spectrum paint line called The PaintBox Company. Teresa’s training and experience in numerous projects including urban townscapes, restaurants, industrial work environments, offices, and personal living spaces, schools, institutions, and healthcare facilities, has made her one of the most sought after color consultants in the Pacific Northwest.
Currently Teresa is bringing her color skills and strategies to other would-be color consultants through a unique training and certification program called ColorIQ.
As an Associate Member of The IACC/NA (International Association of Color Consultants), Teresa studied under the direction of Frank Mahnke, (President of the IACC - International Association of Color Consultant/Designers and the Director of the IACC Education/Accreditation Programs conducted worldwide) She has been specifically trained in both the functional, visual ergonomics and the aesthetic application of color. Her goal is to use "educated" color design to create beautiful, user-supportive environments.
Teresa has won numerous awards for leadership and entrepreneurship including the US WEST $100,000 Seed Money Contest, being voted one of the 5 best start-up companies in a 14 state area and was the recipient of The Peter W Rose Award for her contributions to microcredit. Teresa was named a Woman of Achievement by The Bellevue Business and Professional Women, and currently serves as a business mentor and advisor to entrepreneurs of microcredit organizations in the Seattle area. Her hobbies include oil painting, collage and assemblage art. Her work has been commissioned for private collections throughout California and Washington.
Teresa's achievements have been featured on the Lifetime Network for Women, as well as both regional and national publications such as, The Seattle Times, Washington CEO, and the Puget Sound Business Journal. She is a popular speaker and mentor for women’s entrepreneurial organizations and microcredit organizations
