BUSISIWE NHLAPHO
Student in Johannesburg,South Africa
Greetings, my name is Busisiwe Nhlapho. I am a student studying BEd at the University of Johannesburg. I am passionate about teaching and education and that is the reason I chose doing education. I am a future teacher focused on African languages in education. I am interested in how indigenous knowledge systems, African languages and digital literacy link. During my freetime I enjoy reading and cooking. My favorite book is written by Duduzile Noeleen Ngwenya “Things I never said to myself”. I am a growth- driven individual with a strong desire for academic success and personal development. I value bringing fresh ideas to the spaces I work in. I believe education should honor where we come from while preparing us for where we are going. I am eager to gain more skills and experience in teaching. My goal is to empower learners, celebrate their potential and help them discover the best versions of themselves. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”, this qoute by Nelson Mandela drives me to my dream of changing the lives of learners and ensuring that education is fashionable.
