Busuyi Agbetunsin’s journey in the clinical research industry as a Principal Biostatistician began with an early passion for numbers. Growing up in Nigeria, he was fascinated by mathematics, finding it a universal language that allowed him to make sense of the world around him. While others struggled with numbers, his natural talent set him on a path that would ultimately lead him to a fulfilling career in biostatistics.

In 2014, eager to expand his horizons and enhance his education, Busuyi moved to the United States. He enrolled at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, where he pursued a Master’s degree in Biostatistics, which he earned in 2016. This academic achievement was a significant stepping stone that allowed him to enter the clinical research field, where he could apply his expertise in analyzing complex data to contribute to medical advancements.

Since joining the biopharma and clinical research industries, Busuyi has become a respected Principal Biostatistician at Syneos Health. His role involves analyzing clinical trial data, which is crucial in determining whether new treatments and therapies are safe and effective. His ability to interpret large datasets has been invaluable in ensuring that promising medical treatments reach the public and improve patient outcomes.

Busuyi’s work extends beyond the medical field. His intellectual curiosity led him to co-author a research paper in the International Journal of Event and Festival Management. In the paper, "How do we keep them coming back?", he explored the factors influencing attendee satisfaction at festivals and the likelihood of their return. This research demonstrated his ability to apply biostatistical methods in diverse fields, showcasing his versatility as a researcher.

Outside of his professional life, Busuyi is deeply committed to his family. He married his wife in 2016, and they now raise their child with a focus on values like kindness, spirituality, and curiosity. Despite his demanding career, he spends quality time with his loved ones, prioritizing family above all else.
