is it better to give or receive?

“Before giving, the mind of the giver is happy; while giving, the mind of the giver is made peaceful; and having given, the mind of the giver is uplifted. – Buddha” This quote, to me, represents a good mindset of the idea that giving is better than receiving. In my own life giving has played a huge part in me becoming who I am today, branching from all kinds of things that have happened to me in my life, and those things have always been positive. That is why I strongly believe that giving is better than receiving.
