Balázs Wizner

Sociologist, writer, composer, the chief producer of Metaforum Film. After his studies he worked as a sociologist at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 2004 he established Metaforum Film Studio, which has quickly become the basis of young Hungarian directors dealing with social problems. Besides his work as a producer, he is also involved in the creative side of film making as a director, editor and (being qualified musician) as a composer.
His selected works as a producer: Magyar vagyok nem annak születtem and Mi, ha nem magyar? (in 2009 and 2011 two nation-wide media campaign for tolerating immigrants) Rocking the Nation (director: Bori Kriza, 2007), Once they were neighbours, (director: Zsuzsanna Varga, 2005),Terminus (director: Gábor Péter Németh (Fehér György Prize winner, 2005)), Synagoge for sale (directed by Zsuzsanna Varga, 2006)
