I place myself at the intersection of data science and learning science. I'm interested in using data to improve learning experiences.
My current research is in online learning environments and teaching introductory programming.
It is my long-term research objective to use learning analytics to model and understand informal learning experiences.
It is my purpose to integrate the growing presence of open, online learning with formal curriculum to make STEM education more personalized and accessible.
