Burcu (Yancatarol) Yagiz is a designer and design researcher interested in the relationship between design and culture. She received her BSc degree (2003) in industrial design from Istanbul Technical University, and her MID (Master of Industrial Design) degree from the Industrial Design Department at The University of The Arts, Philadelphia, USA in 2006. She worked as a design consultant for various companies and institutions, and also as a part-time faculty at the Parsons New School for Design in New York City. She is now based in Istanbul and New Delhi, continuing her Ph.D in History of Art at ITU.
