Byron Roberts

Byron A. Roberts is the vocalist/lyricist and founder of the British symphonic extreme metal band Bal-Sagoth. Originally from the steel city of Sheffield in Yorkshire, England, Byron also holds full Canadian citizenship, as he spent many years living in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Byron graduated from university with an Honours Degree in English, writing his final year study on the genres of pulp fantasy, science fiction & horror, and specifically the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
Byron Roberts came up with the idea for Bal-Sagoth around 1989. The band was finally unleashed upon an unsuspecting world in 1993, and has released six albums.
