Byron L. Ward is an award winning Business Leader and Community Activist who believes that all people deserve the opportunity for full employment and participation in the economic mainstream of society.

Byron currently serves as the Vice-President, Client Success at OneTen, Inc. a national non-profit organization focused on workforce development solutions with a mission of closing the “opportunity divide” in America.

Byron graduated with honors from The Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.

As a life-long learner, Byron has successfully completed the Columbia University Senior Leaders Program for Non-Profit Management as well as Executive Education Programs at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and The University of Chicago.

Byron has dedicated his life to uplifting others and is a champion for education, career development, youth mentoring, social justice, and philanthropy. He has held leadership positions in several non-profit and philanthropic organizations including:

  • The New Jersey Higher Education Assistance Authority, Board of Directors
  • The Ohio University, Executive Advisory Board, College of Business

  • National Board of Directors, The Ohio University Alumni Assoc.
  • National President, The Alliance of Black Leaders (ABL) at Avaya, Inc.
  • Co-Founder and Executive Director, Operation Destiny, Inc. (Cleveland, OH)

Byron is also a dedicated member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and served as President of the Omicron Chi chapter in New Jersey. Under Byron’s leadership, Omicron Chi chapter received local, regional, and national recognition including President Barack Obama’s “Community Service Award” for outstanding community leadership in support of President Obama’s Fatherhood Initiative. During Byron’s term as Chapter President, Omicron Chi was also awarded the District and Int’l "Chapter of the Year" amongst Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.’s 650 chapters.

In addition to numerous business and community awards, Byron received recognition from Ebony Magazine as one of the “50 Leaders of Tomorrow” and the NJ NAACP's "Living Legend" award.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Byron resides in New Jersey where he is a proud member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens.
