Bastian Zaini
Consultant, Small Business Owner, and Barista in Indonesia
Hi, I’m Bastian—a public sector consultant based in Indonesia with a passion for music, photography, and coffee. When I’m not exploring the outdoors or catching a soccer match, I delve into the world of economics, where I bring over 20 years of experience working with multilateral organizations.
My expertise lies in decentralization, regional development, and public financial management. Skilled in advanced analytical tools like STATA and GIS, I excel in conducting research and managing projects independently. I thrive in diverse team settings, juggling multiple priorities with ease.
Over the years, I’ve led numerous Public Expenditure Reviews across national, sectoral, and subnational levels. One of my key accomplishments was spearheading the Public Expenditure Analysis and Capacity Harmonization (PEACH) initiative—a $9 million World Bank grant aimed at transforming subnational public financial management.
Let’s connect if you share my enthusiasm for solving complex challenges and creating meaningful impact!
