SERVICES FOR CHILDREN AND PARENTS

Friends of Ariella sponsors a weekly educational program for children with autism and the full spectrum of developmental disabilities. Here are some examples of our regular programs:

Weekend Learning Program - Our teenage volunteers, in conjunction with our trained professionals work with children in a classroom setting to help stimulate and enrich the lives of children placed into our care. Teenage volunteers read books with the children, play musical instruments, sing songs, paint and tell stories.

Gymnastics Program – Trained gymnasts work with our children in a full scale gymnasium, teaching them to use the equipment and working to help them overcome a range of physical disabilities.

Family Night Out – This program engages entire families in different family activities. Among them, our bowling night is most popular. This allows many families with special needs and children without special needs to share enjoyable valuable time together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Mom's Night Out – Mothers with special needs children spend time together and can share experiences and use one another as resources in coping with a world often unfriendly and confusing to families of children with special needs.

Friends At Home – Teenage volunteers spend regular time becoming friends with special needs children at the homes of those children and at their own homes. These friendships are valuable and lasting.

What is the cost of our services and activities? They are absolutely free.

What is the value of what we do? Priceless
