Caity Connor

Hello, I’m Caity.

On days where I have free time you can find me reading, watching football, or playing with my two dogs. I enjoy staying active and make sure to do as many races (5k's usually) as I can fit into my busy schedule. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to visit Ireland, Cancun, and Costa Rica over the years to name a few of my favorites.

I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa in Communication, Mass Communication, and Cinema. I worked for a few years in Iowa at the local youth center as a youth coach for soccer and football. I then pursued my passion for animals by moving to Saint Charles and working at an animal hospital which is where I am working still today. I began to miss working with kids and found myself sitting in on my mom's elementary school classroom. I decided then that I wanted to follow in her footsteps.

I am now keeping busy as a grad student at UMSL and have just begun my Practicum I year of teaching Secondary English. I am excited and confident in the new direction I am going with teaching, and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
