Protection Professional in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Christopher Gift is an outdoorsman and adventurer, and founder of the CGIS Group protective firm based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He is a graduate of the Idaho Peace Officer’s Training and Standards patrol academy, a FEMA certified emergency management professional, and a military liaison officer with the Washington State Guard.
Included in his experiences are intelligence gathering and analysis, as well as on the ground operations against North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force wanted fugitives, interstate fraud suspects, and organized criminal activities. In the private sector, Chris has used his innovative thinking and atypical approach to security challenges to mitigate risk for regional healthcare providers and Department of Defense facilities.
Chris has proven himself to be a skilled planner and thinker, preferring to operate at a lower profile, and to tackle common problems with an outside-the-box approach. Chris’s approachability and no-nonsense communication have proven to make a difference to his clients and employers, and they have come to rely on his common sense-based solutions to challenging situations. Chris’s passion for service behind the scenes gives him the confidence to make calculated decisions, and get results with minimal attention. Whether protecting or providing, Chris puts the needs, comfort and expectations of his clients first.
In addition to his FEMA and Law Enforcement background, Chris is certified in antiterrorism planning and operations through the Department of Defense. Chris is currently in pursuit of an International Association for Hospital Security and Safety Supervisor’s certificate, as well as further education in security operations and management. Chris is available for local, regional and national projects of any duration.
Chris follows three key ideas while serving his clients and employers;
Be Agile: Maintain an ability to adapt rapidly to changing and challenging situations, both in forward planning and on the ground.
Be Low Profile: Remain in the background, serve the needs of the client, and seek to perform, rather than be recognized.
Be Independent: Be a “fire and forget” solution for the client, trusted to address issues with no need for constant direction.
