I'm a Londoner, born and bred, of Jamaican descent, middle aged, but young at heart. Many people have issues from their past to contend with. Mine was my weight and I wrote a book about it, adding in the humour and relate-ability of the dieter's struggle and the pitfalls of yo-yo dieting spanning 30 years (I've lost weight loads of times; I just can't keep it off). I wrote it for fun and it turned out to be quite popular and is selling well. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006YGEIMA/ref=tsm_1_fb_lk
Then I took writing a bit more seriously and penned my first science fiction novel. Mind you, it's not the hardcore stuff. There are no aliens or time travel, or nuclear warheads or even robots. It's a tale with a twist about the consequences of meddling with things we don't understand; about dreams and dream manipulation, feeding on my fascination with why some of our dreams are plain weird and the frustration of dreams fading when we wake. The novel seeks to explore the dream state by recording the main character's dreams and playing them back. What better way for more accurate dream interpretation. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CIG49QA/ref=tsm_1_fb_lk
And I've started a sequel.
That's not all there is about me. I used to be a secretary at the House of Commons for an MP. I used to be a BBC receptionist and an International Operator working nights. Right now I work for two professors in a medical school. I also used to be a DJ and I've still got my entire collection of vinyl soul and dance tunes from the 70's and 80's.
I also have a grown daughter and two 'grand-kits'. I mean my daughter's twin Calicos, Oracle and Phoenix.
Oh, and I once won a competition to meet guitarist Pat Metheny about 15 years ago, and I was given an Ibanez electric guitar, signed by him as an additional prize.
I have a condition similar to Coeliacs Disease in that I have a gluten intolerance, so I avoid any food with wheat in it. Thank goodness it's not in chocolate! As an avid reader, my Kindle is bulging with the fab books I've discovered by other Indie authors - my detective stories, mysteries, sci-fi and courtroom dramas.
