Carolyn O'Connor
If you were to ask Carolyn how she would describe herself, she would probably say "I am ME!". Partly because she knows that what she does is not what defines her nor does it explain who she is and the truth is probably very complicated.
Called into vocational pastoral ministry in 2005, she currently serves as one of the associate pastors of Overflow Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan in the areas of Connections, Hospitality, Serving, and Administration. Prior to this, she was an Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Assistant City Manager, and Human Resources Director of the City of Holland and a Clerk Typist in Water/Wastewater Services for the Holland Board of Public Works. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Davenport University in the area of Human Resource Management, and a Master of Arts in Ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University. Carolyn is also a licensed pastor in the Welseyan Church (anticipating ordination in 2015).
Her passion is to see people heal from past hurts and figure out how God has uniquely designed them to fulfill His purpose and plan for them. She loves teaching in a variety of settings and insuring the systems of the church function smoothly and efficiently. In Spring 2014, she will be leading a women's Bible Study on dealing with emotions. Carolyn is available for speaking engagements through Overflow Church.
