C. Ranae Pincock

Mapleton, Illinois

My passion is learning. I want to share that passion with the students I teach so that they too may develop a lifelong love of learning.

I am fifth grade teacher at high poverty inner-city school. I graduated with an Elementary Education degree from Illinois State University with honors in 2014 . Returning to school to pursue my dream of becoming a school teacher allowed me to incorporate life's lessons I have learned on my journey up to now.

I remain involved in my community through the Parent-Teacher Organization in my school district. For over the past eight years I have served as parent volunteer, committee chair, secretary, and president. My current responsibility is co-secretary and co-chair of the annual Love of Reading event for students and their families. The goal of the event is to present literacy in a fun, relaxed setting. I also serve as a parent volunteer and teach an art lesson once a month in two different upper level elementary classrooms.
