When I moved to a new home, one of the first things I did was look for cable service in my area. I hit the internet first, as is my practice for most research. I found a couple of companies, right away, that offered cable service in my area. They both had websites, so I dug around to find out as much information as possible on their sites.

One company offered strictly tv cable service in my area. I was able to get their phone number at their website and I called them up to get more information. They were able to offer me a decent price for tv service and their deposit was not too steep. I decided to look into what the other company offered.

The second company offered a package deal of phone, tv and internet bundled together. Of course, it was a higher price than just tv cable, but the deposit was about the same, so I took some time to thing about it and talk with my husband about our options.

I noticed that there were satellite companies offering tv service, but, frankly they were expensive and out of our price range. I decided to go with one of the cable companies, but wasn't sure which one would meet the needs of our family better.

When my husband got home from work, later that day we discussed the matter over dinner. After some deliberation, we decided to go with cable for tv service only. We had many options for internet and phone and decided not to lump them all together. I guess we like to keep our options open.

I called the company that night and made arrangements for installation. It was installed without a glitch and I am very happy with our decision. I learned that shopping around, first, really is the best way to find a good deal on cable service in my area.
