Cadence All Female A Cappella

Chapel Hill, NC

Cadence All Female A Cappella is an all-female a cappella group at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The group currently consists of 16 sassy, diverse, and talented young women who love to sing. Cadence is focused on philanthropy and members love to perform at events on campus and in neighboring communities, in addition to private events and special occasions. We are sponsored by the Campus Y, UNC's oldest social justice organization.

Cadence was founded by Mellissa “Lisa” Offoha in 2003, then a junior at UNC-Chapel Hill. The group established its presence on UNC's campus after hard work and commitment to making music. Cadence celebrated its 10-year anniversary in spring 2013 with the release of full-length CD called "Double Take." Cadence also released an EP album, called "Brand New Behavior," in spring 2011.
