Cahlan Mazur has been a teacher for all of his professional life, beginning soon after graduation, some thirteen years ago. What started as a tentative job soon turned into a career he valued and worked passionately on. In 2000, he graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Physics with a focus in Spanish. A teaching sub with an aptitude for teaching , his rapid progress as a teacher comes as no surprise to those who are familiar with Mr. Mazur’s teaching style.

In a short span of time, he had the opportunity to work with various age groups, teaching students from upper elementary to middle school and realized he worked best with middle schoolers. For more than a decade now, Cahlan Mazur has taught mathematics and physics, and recently Spanish, in various schools in the Washington DC region, regularly stepping beyond his role as a teacher by assisting with an array of responsibilities from setting new curriculum to coaching sports team and chaperoning international trips.

Mr. Mazur goes the extra mile to ensure his students gain thorough understanding of the subjects and encourages inquisitiveness and hopes to nurture their young minds to grow into forward-thinking global citizens. He is an avid traveler who often merges his career with his long-term passion for traveling, teaching here and there on his many trips. Cahlan also enjoys diving, photography and playing sports.
