Hi, I’m Michael. I’m a PhD student at Deakin University studying the drivers and inhibitors of police accountability in the Australian context. This research will focus on instances of unlawful death, injury or other behaviour (i.e. racial discrimination) perpetrated by police and highlight where the current systems in place to generate accountability are ineffective and effective.
