It would be amazing to share our lives with each other over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee (two of my favorite things), but I guess this will have to be the place where I tell you a little bit about myself.
I am officially on the downhill slope of my twenties and BOY what an adventure those have been. I grew up in beautiful Reno, NV and, by God's will, have recently moved to Elko, NV -- He's lucky I'm enjoying the cold weather. ;)
My heart was lit on fire for Jesus in September 2012 when, like many others, I was dangling from the end of my rope with no hope of my own. In the midst of treading down a far-off career path and having just graduated from college months before, I witnessed a dear friend’s 4-year-old son earn his angel wings. Resultingly, I found it easiest to drown my pain in drinking, partying, and boys.
Unsatisfied and very broken, I sat in Living Stones Church one day searching tirelessly for "something." It was at that moment I realized Jesus had taken me as I was, a sinner. He shouted of my worthiness and awakened my heart to God's crazy, unwavering love and grace for my dark, broken soul.
Since that day, my life has drastically changed!
Trekking in what feels like a never ending hill of struggle, my journey with the Lord has been far from easy and yet, by far my most BEAUTIFUL experience and most cherished relationship.
This all brings me to here - though never a huge fan of blogging, I have the desire to share my seasons of life. The wisdom I'm obtaining as I learn to live life with joy in the midst of suffering. A real, vulnerable place where I can share my heart with those who need encouragement through the many seasons life brings them. Most of all a place for me to grow with all of you!
My prayer? Well, since I'm a sinner -- I pray this transparent, continual transformation not only brings encouragement and enlightenment, but challenges others to experience this crazy life as the person God created them to be -- beautiful, unique, and SO incredibly loved! I'm thrilled to share this with all of you.
Love and Peace,
Caitlin
