In 2011, I earned a Master’s of Public Health (MPH) degree in epidemiology from Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Public Health. Combining a Master’s of Public Health degree with my BA enabled me to gain both the knowledge base and practical experience necessary to address the needs of populations worldwide. Both backgrounds enabled me to examine health-related issues from a wide rage of perspectives including biological, cultural, social and global points of view.
As a public health professional I continue to strive for more learning opportunities and exposure to ideas. Ths far, my experience has shown me that through education, community involvement, and access to health care, adverse health effects upon the population can be made less devastating.
