I am a Seattle-born, Berlin-based communications professional with over a decade of experience working in journalism, radio, copywriting, editing, translation, photography, social media and public relations. I work in both German and English and can deliver reporting, editing and translation at full bilingual fluency.

Text and/or photos featured in: Deutsche Welle, ZEIT.de, The Local Germany, Berliner Zeitung, Berliner Kurier, Berliner-Rundfunk.de, KCRW Berlin, politik-kommunikation.de, FluentU German, Naturschutz heute, The Trek, Slow Travel Berlin and more. Translation project clients include: Twisper Travel, Dynamic Yield, IHK Potsdam, Knalle Popkornditorei, zlw Universität Stuttgart, De Maar Law and others.

While earning my B.A. in German Studies at Whitman College, I worked as a reporter and editor on the national award-winning newspaper The Whitman Pioneer, now known as the Whitman Wire. I created and hosted the German music radio show Midnight Monsoon on KWCW 90.5 FM. In the summer of 2011, I interned at Seattle's premiere commercial radio station for alternative music, KNDD 107.7 The End.

Post-graduation, I embarked on a DAAD "internXchange" fellowship to study journalism in Berlin, and completed another radio internship at Berliner Rundfunk 91,4 before launching into my freelance career and my subsequent full-time roles at a digital agency, Universum AG, and a commercial radio station, ENERGY Berlin 103,4.

After a decade in the workforce, I took six months to thru-hike the Pacific Crest Trail in a continuous footpath from Mexico to Canada. Subsequently returning to Berlin with a desire to align my work life with my deep love for the natural world, I joined NABU, Germany's oldest and largest nature conservation NGO, as an online editor in the international department.
