Caitlin Heitman

I am currently enrolled at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. I am working towards a bachelors degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a concentration in event management and a minor in Psychology. I hope to someday plan corporate events and meetings in the greater Boston area.

I would consider one of my greatest passions to be people. It may seem strange to have a passion for people, but I consider myself to be very outgoing and friendly. People and human interaction are what get me through each day. I have begun to execute my passion through my future career in hopsitality. By volunteering at PCMA in January I was able to experience how my skills can be applied to executing an event. During the summer I served and bartended on Cape Cod and used my communication and managment skills to serve happy customers. I also have spent time working in a hotel on Cape Cod evaluating my own organization skills at the front desk and promoting local restaurants and beaches. Each of these activities have been interactive and allowed me to engage with multiple people and create lasting relationships.
