Caitlyn Williams

Seattle

Caitlyn Williams is a Marketing Intern at Seattle Repertory Theatre and a recent graduate from the University of Washington with a degree in communications. In her current internship she is assisting in strategically marketing upcoming productions, special events and additional programs. Some of her experiences include managing four social media accounts, acting as project manager on a special event that resulted in over $12,500 in additional revenue, built and maintained 31 partnerships, and managed media relations. Her primary areas of interest include public relations, marketing and events. She loves working in fast-paced settings and using her creativity to tackle new challenges in the most efficient manner.

She recently held a position as a Distinguished Events Intern with the American Cancer Society in Seattle, WA where she assisted in the organization and planning of high-end fundraising events.

Caitlyn first began working within the communications field as a Public Relations Coordinator at the Washington State Fair (formerly known as the Puyallup Fair) in the summer of 2012. She seized this opportunity and expanded upon her writing, speaking and interpersonal skills. Her experiences writing press releases and cover letters, recruiting volunteers, editing an employee newsletter and acting as a liaison between the Fair and local media outlets have proven to be invaluable. Caitlyn takes pride in her work and always applies her strong organizational skills and detail-oriented attitude when completing new tasks.

She is thrilled to have graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Washington with a BA in communications in June, 2013. Her education has allowed her to practice problem solving, gain a better understanding of society and learn career-applicable skills for example, public speaking, how to work within a team setting and the AP writing style.

When she is not busy writing or organizing events, you can find Caitlyn running through the city or baking something new in her kitchen. Traveling is a life-long passion that has taken her on adventures to France, Italy, Mexico, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York. Loving to try new things and have new experiences, her current goals include: baking a batch of croissants from scratch, running a half-marathon and traveling through South America and most of Western Europe.

Experience, personal-drive and her desire to improve will result is Caitlyn maintai
